Wanna know what’s in store for May and June at Sunshine Swim Center?
Even this week, May 14, 2019, the sky is threatening to rain, and it’s hard to think that we are only weeks away from summer vacation. In fact my family has plans to go camping the first week of June and it is supposed to snow 6-12 inches in the mountains! What!
But before we realize it, we are going to be in the heat of the summer and looking at each other wondering where the time has gone.
At the Sunshine Swim Center we have some important events happening and we wanted to let you know before your schedules get too crazy.
May Lessons Ending in a Week
The last day for Weekend Group Classes is May 19th. The pool will be closed the following weekend (Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27) in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. This goes for private lessons as well.
The last day for Monday/Wednesday classes is May 22 and for Tuesday/Thursday classes is May 23.
Special Schedule May 28-May 31 (no lessons)
The pool will be open for recreational swimming May 28, 29, 30 from 4-6pm. For currently enrolled swim families admission is free, and $5.00 for the general public. All proceeds from our open swim events go toward the Swim Strong Life Savers Scholarship Program.
May 31, Family Swim Night, 4-6pm. Admission is Free for all!
Meet and Greet for the Sunshine Gators Swim Team.
I know we have just barely started thinking about things for this summer, but at Sunshine Swim Center we are already mapping out our Fall programs. And speaking of Fall, our Sunshine Gator Swim Team Program will be starting enrollment on June 1st. So, to learn more about the program, our Coaching staff will be on the pool deck during Family Swim Night, May 31st. to answer any questions about the program. Sunshine Gator Swim Team
Moving on! Weekends in June (Lessons and Pool Parties)
June 1st – Weekend Group Lessons beginning. This is our first year of having group lessons on the weekends. Classes meet on both Saturday and Sunday at their scheduled time for 4-weeks. This could be a wonderful option for working families that have more flexibility on the weekends.
Weekend private lessons also start the weekend of June 1st. Check your schedule from your parent portal to double check your dates and times.
Pool Parties, in my opinion, are the way to go for any celebration in the summertime! We offer 2 time slots on both Saturday and Sunday Afternoons; 1:00 and 4:30. The pool is exclusively for you and your guests. The pool can accommodate up to 105 people on deck! Click here for Details.
June 3rd – It’s an important date not to forget!
All group classes for Summer Session One start Monday, June 3rd! Classes meet Monday through Thursday for 2 consecutive weeks during the summer. Private lessons still continue with the 4-week session schedule, but will also start the week of June 3.
Only 6 Weeks of Summer Camp! Calling all Campers!
Week One ( June 3 – June 7)
$259.00 per week. Meets 8-5 Monday through Friday. Includes morning swim lessons and afternoon open swim everyday. Plus… Group games, arts and crafts, outdoor trips to the park, tye dying, music activities, dance activities, robotic and science projects… we are bursting with excitement about the adventures we will have! Our lap swimming schedule starting on June 3 are:
Tues and Thursday 10:00am – 3:00pm
Friday 12:00 – 3pm
Saturdays and Sundays 10:00am – 12:30pm

The lap swimming hours are listed by season. So the schedule is listed from June 3 – August 2.

We apologize you are not able to find the information for lap swimming as you would like. It is list under the tab Private lessons and Lap Swimming. We are always trying to make improvements to our site and will reconsider the lap swimming placement.
